Located in the foothills of the Rockies, Ghost Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area is around 20 kms from Cochrane, 80 kms from Calgary and offers some of the best roads with a backdrop of the Canadian Rocky mountains.
We stumbled across this spot during when we were out getting Christmas trees in December and just knew we had to come back with some horses and explore. Spent the day exploring the lower part of the valley trekking through the snow and getting some content along the way! Below is the day in summary.
